April 11-12, 2014 marks the 11th Anniversary of the Smoke in the Spring BBQ Contest in Osage City, KS.
The Smoke in the Spring invites ALL past teams and champions to Osage City to help celebrate our 10th Anniversary. The Smoke in the Spring has become one of the premiere BBQ contests in the Midwest because of the teams and judges who support us each year.
Over the previous 9 years we have attracted teams and judges to Osage City from Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, Texas, Minnesota, Ohio, Tennessee, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.
The Smoke in the Spring is a KCBS (Kansas City Barbeque Society) sanctioned contest and designated as a State BBQ Championship. The Smoke in the Spring also provides over $10,000 in cash and awards.
The entry deadline for the 2014 contest is March 28, 2014 while space is available.
